Starting Orthodontic Treatment

After your consultation and records, you’re one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! At your first treatment appointment, usually about an hour long, Dr. Korch will place your new orthodontic appliance. During this visit, our team will make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

What Happens After the First Exam?

If treatment is recommended, we’ll schedule an appointment for diagnostic records. In many cases, we can even collect these records during your first visit if time allows. Diagnostic records help us design a personalized treatment plan and usually include:

  • Photographs of your teeth

  • Study models of your teeth

  • Panoramic and cephalogram X-rays and tracings

  • A detailed analysis by the doctor to determine the best course of care

Visiting the Dentist During Treatment

Even while in orthodontic treatment, it’s vital to continue seeing your family dentist every six months for cleanings and checkups. This helps keep your teeth healthy and your smile on track. Plus, at our office, you’ll get a bonus: every completed dental visit gives you a chance to earn points on your Korch Kash card! Please bring your signed certificate to your appointment.

What Your Investment Includes

When you start treatment with us, your investment covers far more than braces or aligners. It includes the full journey:

  • Comprehensive orthodontic records (X-rays, models, growth studies)

  • Active treatment, including appliances, adjustments, and regular office visits

  • Durable appliances designed to last when used as instructed

  • One set of final retainers after Phase II treatment is complete

Note: If appliances are lost, broken, or damaged due to misuse, or if extra retainers are needed, a replacement fee will apply.

Office Hours & Appointment Guidelines

We respect your time and work hard to keep appointments running efficiently. Each visit is structured to ensure you receive expert care, clear communication, and updates on your progress. Arriving on time allows us to provide every patient with the attention they deserve.
