For your convenience, we can often complete your 3D digital scan (no messy impressions!) the same day, allowing you to get started right away and saving you an extra trip away from work or school.
Starting Orthodontic Treatment
After your initial exam, you are one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! At your start appointment, typically lasting about 60–90 minutes, Dr. Korch and her team will carefully place your customized orthodontic appliance while making sure you feel comfortable and well informed throughout the visit.
Visiting the Dentist During Treatment
Especially during orthodontic treatment, it’s important to continue visiting your family dentist every six months for cleanings and checkups. These visits help keep your teeth healthy and your smile on track. As a bonus, each completed dental visit earns points on your Korch Kash card. Please bring your signed certificate to your appointment to receive your reward points.

Note: If appliances are lost, broken, or damaged due to misuse, or if additional retainers are needed, a replacement fee will apply.

How should I prepare for my first orthodontic appointment?
Please bring your completed new patient forms, insurance information and your smile goals. Our team will take care of the rest.
Do I need a referral from my dentist to schedule a consultation?
No referral is necessary. Anyone can schedule a consultation directly with us: we welcome children, teens, and adults!
Can I start treatment on the same day?
Yes! If treatment is appropriate and you’re ready to begin, we can often complete your 3D digital scan and start the process during your first visit.
Is Botox® for TMD relief safe when combined with orthodontic treatment?
Yes. Botox® can safely be used alongside braces or aligners to help reduce jaw tension, clenching, and headaches. Many Hershey-area patients seek both orthodontic alignment and TMD management at the same time.
Is orthodontic treatment still possible if I have crowns, implants, or missing teeth?
Yes. Many adults in the Hershey area begin treatment later in life with restorative dental work already in place. Orthodontics can often be customized around crowns or implants.
